Dr. Marshall Nash & Cynthia Wolfe/NeuroStudies.net

NeuroStudies.net is a clinical research group dedicated to improving treatment options for neurological conditions that grew from Dr. Marshall L. Nash’s medical practice, Dekalb Neurology Associates, LLC. At NeuroStudies.net, they are actively involved in the investigation of new medications and therapies.

Their facilities include a -70 degree freezer, monitored by ADT Security, and their medications are double locked. Their successful medical practice and two research locations have developed into one of the top research centers with excellence in meeting and exceeding enrollment goals.

Dr. Nash has held the distinction of Certified Physician Investigator (CPI) with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals since 2002. He is one of only a few private practice neurologists worldwide who devote 100% of their clinical practice time to clinical research. As an expert consultant for many academic and pharmaceutical research projects, Dr. Nash is involved in some of the most promising and innovative research trials in neurology today, including Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Acute Stroke, Diabetic Neuropathy, Vascular Dementia and Migraine.

Susie Brown & Bill Hood/StarNeuroScience Foundation

NeuroScience Foundation was created in September 2010 and is dedicated to encouraging and opening the availability of neurological research by supporting clinical research, public outreach and education focused on neurological diseases. The goal of the foundation is to raise funds to enhance neurological research, start new medical research sites, train new research employees, encourage hospital research, and supplement existing research sites in Georgia and the Southeastern States.

Failure to support research will put people at risk and damage patient care of the future. The timeframe to conduct research and achieve approval from the FDA is a lengthy process which sometimes takes as long as 10 years, and is relatively slow compared to the progression of the disease itself. The foundation proposes to speed up the process by finding quality treatments for these diseases by allowing sites to participate in many neurological trials to include Stroke and Alzheimer’s disease that are currently financially out of reach.

Stroke, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease are some of the devastating diseases that strike patients in the prime of their life and cause great family and societal burdens. Dr. Marshall Nash is committed to research that will “pursue the disease and not the medication”. His goal is not to pursue medications that are already available, but to find new treatment options that will improve the patient’s life and disease.

Susan Johnson & Anthony Piniella/NCR Corporation

Based in Duluth, NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) is the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, running the everyday transactions that make consumers’ lives easier and help businesses drive profitable growth by creating exceptional customer experiences. The company powers more than 450 million consumer transactions a day across multiple industries, and works with numerous professional sports teams, including the MLB, NHL, NBA and 65 percent of all NFL stadiums.

Today, stadiums have to work hard to lure fans as the rise of the stay-at home fan has become a real concern. In addition to spending hundreds of dollars on tickets and concessions at the stadium, fans are increasingly frustrated that they spend much of the game waiting in lines rather than watching the game. As a result, many are opting to watch the game from the comfort of their couch.

With a new four-year partnership, NCR and the Atlanta Falcons are teaming up to bring fans an exceptional game experience, leveraging new technology for NCR to drastically reduce time spent waiting in line for Falcons merchandise. This will make home games more enjoyable and convenient, and boost sales for one for one of the most well-known franchises within NCR’s local community.

Eva Scott/Premier Financial Alliance

Premier Financial Alliance is a company that specializes in designing tax free retirement strategies for small business owners and individuals. At PFA, they believe in taking minimal risks with your money or your life. How would you like locking in your gains every year when the market goes up and never losing them again? How would you like to protect your investments having no losses due to declines in the index? How would you like being able to access most of your cash value at any time through policy loans without penalties or tax consequences?

Another key element in a sound retirement plan is protection. Their clients have access to a new kind of life insurance they don’t have to die to use. A percentage of your life insurance proceeds can be accessed in the event of a terminal, chronic or critical illness. You can take care of your living expenses if you become ill or receive a monthly income during a disability (if you cannot perform 2 of the 6 activities of daily living) and be able to pay your bills without tapping into your savings or investments.
