Jim Lloyd and Maureen KornowaGwinnett Children’s Shelter has a new “Home of Hope” where they take homeless children from birth to 17 years of age, with their young moms. GCS develops customized life plans designed to keep the family unit together and set them on a path to independence by providing all the necessary life skills training so that Mom can sustain herself upon completion of the program. Gwinnett Children’s’ Shelter is a pioneer with this new forward-thinking program which is designed to end the cycle of homelessness for two generations at one time.
