Carly Howard is a senior wealth strategist in Atlantic Trust’s Atlanta office, with more than 10 years of industry experience. In this role, she provides high net worth clients with integrated wealth management services, including comprehensive estate and financial planning solutions, multi-generational legacy planning, and fiduciary administration for trusts and probate estates. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, Carly was a senior vice president and personal trust specialist with BB&T Wealth’s Professional and Executive Advisory Group, where she provided customized wealth management services for executives and business owners with a focus on fiduciary issues related to executive compensation. She previously served as a fiduciary specialist for BB&T Wealth in South Carolina and Wells Fargo Private Bank in North Carolina. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Carly was an adjunct professor at the Charleston School of Law and an attorney practicing estate planning and fiduciary litigation with major law firms in Miami and Charlotte. She holds Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degrees from the University of Miami and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the College of Charleston. Carly currently chairs the board of directors for PhilanthroFest, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and was included in the Community Building Initiative (CBI) Charlotte’s 2015 “Leaders Under 40” program. She has also served on the South Carolina Probate Code Revisions Committee, Charleston Tax Council, Florida Association for Women Lawyers and other trade groups. ABOUT BILL LEONARD

Bill Leonard, Taylor English DumaBill Leonard, a partner at Taylor English Duma LLP, has over three decades of experience in litigation involving securities and investments, liability of directors, officers, managers, and partners of businesses, shareholder and member rights and fiduciary duties, accountant and auditor liability, law firm liability, and banking law. His experience includes class actions, lawsuits in federal and state courts in many different states, and arbitrations. Mr. Leonard is also a trained mediator and has served as an arbitrator for securities disputes. He conducts internal investigations into potential wrongdoing by officers, directors, and employees of corporations. He has represented officers, directors, accountants, brokers, and other professionals in investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the New York Stock Exchange, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, and the Department of Justice. He has represented investors, stockbrokers, and brokerage firms in lawsuits and FINRA arbitrations concerning stocks, bonds, and options.

Mr. Leonard has been counsel to parties in litigation involving insurance coverage, restrictive covenants, tax sharing agreements, mergers and acquisitions, computer software, and other business disputes. He has represented shareholders in asserting dissenters’ rights in connection with corporate mergers and asset sales. He has also handled fiduciary litigation in several contexts, such as the representation of employees in litigation against trustees and corporate sponsors of ERISA plans to recover benefits and for breach of fiduciary duty, waste, and conflicting interest transactions.

Mr. Leonard investigated and asserted claims as counsel to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation against directors, officers, and attorneys of failed financial institutions in several states. As counsel to the National Credit Union Administration, he headed the investigation and assertion of claims against directors, officers, and attorneys of two Massachusetts credit unions, including uncovering the largest real estate fraud in United States credit union history.

ABOUT LANE STEINBERGER:

Lane Steinberger, Redwood Wealth ManagmentAs chief investment officer, Lane Steinberger brings more than 20 years of experience in the world of finance and investing to Redwood Wealth Management. Lane also comes from a long line of entrepreneurs, including his grandfather and father, who owned a grocery store and furniture business in Statesville, N.C., that was established in the early 1900s

Lane’s path to Redwood started with Bank of America in Charlotte, N.C., advising clients on the foreign currency markets and derivative strategies, his first job after attending North Carolina State University. From there, it was on to international finance studies in Vienna, Austria, and Bangalore, India, as part of the University of South Carolina’s nationally ranked International MBA program.

He joined BellSouth in 2000, where he managed a $5 billion fixed income/bond portfolio for the company’s pension fund while also working as the fund’s asset allocation strategist, managing the asset allocation of the entire pension portfolio.

After BellSouth, Lane finally followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and started Alexander Investment Advisory, which later merged into Redwood.

Today, he holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designations, a distinction shared by few advisors. He intends to be a lifelong student since he is now currently working towards a Doctorate in Business at Georgia State University.

He has also served as a board member and media/communications head of the CFA Society of Atlanta and volunteers on the budget and finance committee for the JF&CS charity.

As an avid traveler, Lane has been to more than 26 countries and 3 continents.  He is an outdoor enthusiast and runner, finishing two marathons, one ultra-marathon and three Outward Bound/NOLS courses in Chile, Costa Rica and Canada.

Lane resides in Cumming and on the weekends you will most likely find him traveling to Dahlonega for a day hike or shopping at Whole Foods with his wife and two kids.

 ABOUT KRISTEN M. LEWIS

LewisKristen M. Lewis practices law in Atlanta, GA with Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and is a nationally recognized expert on “Special Needs Trust” planning for persons challenged by disabilities. She is an active member of the Special Needs Alliance, the Academy of Special Needs Planners, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association Elder Law Section, the State Bar of Georgia Fiduciary Law Section, and the Georgia Planned Giving Council. She recently completed her tenure as Co-Chair of the Long-Term Care, Medicaid and Special Needs Trusts Committee of the Elder Law, Disability Planning and Bioethics Group of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the ABA. In her free time, she trains certified service dogs for Canine Assistants based in Milton, GA.

Ms. Lewis received her B.A. degree in French and political science, with highest honors, from Wellesley College in 1981. She earned her J.D. degree from Cornell Law School in 1984. She is admitted to practice law in both New York and Georgia.

Ms. Lewis co-authored an article entitled “Top 15 Tips for Estate Planners When Planning for Special Needs”, published in Probate & Property, Volume 24, Number 2, March/April 2010, which won the magazine’s 2010 Excellence in Writing Award for “Best Overall Article – Trusts & Estates”. She most recently authored an article entitled “The Crime of the 21st Century: Financial Abuse of Elders” which was published in Probate & Property, Volume 28, Number 4, July/August 2014.

Kathy Keeley, AADDKathy Keeley is the Executive Director of All About Developmental Disabilities (AADD) which focuses on creating a meaningful life for individuals with developmental disabilities through family support, employment and community engagement. Prior to joining AADD, she had her own consulting firm providing strategic planning and business planning to large cities and nonprofits throughout the U.S. She is a social entrepreneur having started the first loan fund for women-owned businesses in the U.S. and the first micro-enterprise association of lenders. She is the former Chief of Staff for a Mayor, launched the Calvert Foundation, and provided technical assistance in nearly 30 counties on economic and business development. Fontaine Lee_HeadshotFontaine Lee is currently the Vice President and Business Development Officer with Cumberland Trust & Investment Company, an independent trust company with headquarters in Nashville, TN. She opened the Atlanta office for Cumberland in the Fall of 2010 and is responsible for business development in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. Fontaine began her career at Citigroup in Institutional Fixed Income Sales and Trading where she focused on tax-exempt offerings. After receiving her M.B.A from Emory University, she transitioned from capital markets into private wealth management. Since that time, she has held business development roles at Atlanta-based Reliance Trust and with a multi-family office. Fontaine also spent two years at the Coca-Cola Company working in marketing research.

A native of Atlanta, Fontaine is actively involved with the Atlanta Vanderbilt Club and is a graduate of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation Destiny Fund program, and co-authored the L.E.A.D. program for Leadership Atlanta. She sits on the board for the Agape You and Family Center and is on the Marketing and Development Committee for Whitefoord, Inc. She has also served as a board member for Executive Women of Goizueta, the women’s alumni organization for the Goizueta Business School.
